: What is ezSOAP?
A : ezSOAP is software that enables physicians
to do their own SOAP notes quickly and easily and eliminates the costs and delays of the
normal dictation/transcription process. |

: What are the hardware and operating system requirements of ezSOAP software?
A : ezSOAP
requires an IBM PC or 100% compatible computer running Microsoft
Windows (Win98SE, WinME, Win2000, WinXP, Windows Vista). The computer
should have a Pentium class CPU of at least 1GHz or
better with a minumum of 512 MB RAM - Also, if you will be
using IBM's Via Voice concurrently with ezSOAP a minimum of 1.0 MB RAM
is required and utilizing Win2000 or WinXP is strongly
recommended). Other requriements include: 1 GB or more of available
hard drive disk space; CD-ROM Drive: Minimum of 16-speed drive for
installation; Video/Graphics Card: SVGA card capable of at 16Bit Color
and 1024 x 768 pixels resolution. ezSOAP does not require a sound card.

to the ViaVoice documentation for sound hardware requirements.) |

: Do I need a printer and if so what kind?
A : To print out your notes, you will need
to have a printer that is compatible with your computer system, such as an Inkjet or Laser Printer. |

: How does ezSOAP save money?
A : ezSOAP allows you to complete your own notes,
thus eliminating transcription cost. In addition, ezSOAP allows immediate placement
of the note on the chart which saves time and therefore money required by office staff
to "hunt" for the chart. The ability to easily document the entire encounter also allows
more appropriate coding. |

Q : Can I import my patient list
into ezSOAP?
A : Yes, with a comma-separated file(csv). |

: Is ezSOAP customizable?
A : Yes. The flexible and customizable nature
of ezSOAP is one of the great strengths of this software. New templates and macros can easily
be created and modified with ezSOAP. Subjective, objective entries including common abnormal
physical findings, assessments, and multiple different plans can be easily
changed or added at any time. |

: Can ezSOAP be used with Voice Recognition Software such as IBM's
Viavoice or Dragon Systems' Naturally Speaking?
A : Yes, this program is compatible with both of the V.R. systems
listed above. |

Q : Can I do my own SOAP note in
the same time I now dictate a note?
A : Yes, on the average, some will be much quicker,
some might require a little bit more time. |
